Nobody in that bid history understands how an auction works.

I kinda want it so I can drop a GM Atlas I-6 in it. Just to be blasphemous.

I’m going to guess any time someone tries to bid if your max bid is higher it enters your name again - at least that’s what I hope.
The flip side to that, since that article was posted the auction price has gone up x10.

Yeah but why isn’t it entering the other bidders name? If I make a bid and it’s not the highest, my name won’t even show up? Weird.
Also, only 12 years in storage...I kinda like my barnfinds two decades or older. I probably have a soup can in the back of my kitchen shelf that’s been there longer.

yeah, I had thought that motor was fairly stout, mostly pre-BMW goofy gremlin issues. Sure the seals are probably shot and the oil is sludgy mcsludgerson but no different than any other car that sits, unstarted, for long periods of time.

Dads friend got a call from a storage guy he knew. This was in the 80s. Had an abandoned car, and he wasn't a car guy so wondered if he wanted it. We'll, he paid a few grand in late fees and drove home in an Austin Healey 3000. Still has it as far as I know.
